Reuters Gets it Right
Looks like Reuters has updated their video about the Chinese relics that were auctioned off on Wednesday. If you didn’t catch their gaffe, click here. I sent them a error notification about it on Monday and, though they hadn’t told me they corrected it, the report is now factually correct. The relics are now correctly identified as being taken in 1860 rather the erroneous previous assertion of 1960.
The two bronze animal heads themselves were bought for a total $35.9, before commissions, by an anonymous phone bidder. No word yet if they have turned up in the possession of the Chinese government as has been speculated.
